Caption

Expedition 3 flight engineer Mikhail Tyurin has his hair cut by Vladimir Dezhurov in Zvesda Module. Vladimir uses the scissors whilst Mikhail holds the nozzle of a vacuum cleaner close to his head to suck up the loose hairs. Frank Culbertson films the action from above the pair. Culbertson asks Dezhurov how many times he has done this before, and Dezhurov replies Just this time in my life! Culbertson continues, What does Mikhail think of it. Dezhurov replies I don't know now. We will check later! The end of the vacuum nozzle has a modified, home-made appearance with a cone of card and sticky tape to change its shape. In the close up shots at the end of the clip we can see individual tufts of hair which have been cut off flying off suddenly straight into the nozzle.
