Caption

Leafcutter ants (Atta sp.) at the entrance to their nest. These ants cut small pieces from leaves and carry them to underground chambers, where they use them as a growing medium for a fungus, on which the ant colony feeds. Filmed in the Ecuadorian Amazon rainforest.
