Angiography video of the left leg of a 72-year-old patient. The patient was a former smoker with hypertension (high blood pressure) and high cholesterol. This angiography shows infiltration with atherosclerotic stenosis (narrowing) across the femoral artery. Angiography is an imaging technique in which a radio-opaque contrast medium is injected into blood vessels to allow them to be seen on an X-ray. Here the medium was introduced by the Seldinger technique via femoral catheterization.
