Caption

Angiography video of the pelvic region, showing normal blood flow after surgery to implant two stents in the iliac femoral artery at lower right. A stent is an artificial tube inserted into a diseased artery to keep it open and maintain blood flow. Angiography is an imaging technique in which a radio-opaque contrast medium is injected into blood vessels to allow them to be seen on an X-ray. Here the medium was introduced by the Seldinger technique via femoral catheterization.
