Computer model of a chemical wave. The model was produced by combining seven differential equations using the principles of chaos mathematics. Chemical waves are the result of dynamic processes in Belousov-Zhabotinsky (BZ) reagents. This model shows a remarkable agreement with observed chemical wave structure. Such models may eventually be used to model biological processes, such as the chemistry of nerve impulses.
