Scott's Antarctic Expedition. Left to right are Henry Robertson Bowers (1883-1912), Edward Adrian Wilson (1872-1912) and Apsley Cherry-Goward (1886-1959). Bowers and Wilson were members of Scott's polar party, who all perished on the trek back from the South Pole. Cherry is best known for his book, 'The Worst Journey in the World' (1922), about the ill-fated expedition.
