Caption

Antimonite (or stibnite), a sulphide of Antimony (Sb2S3) fitting the orthorhombic crystal system. It often forms prismatic to needle-like radial crystals as seen in the blue rosettes here. Used with lead in battery plates, and in manufacture of flameproofing compounds. From Neunkirchen in Siegerland, Germany. Width 60mm.
