Secondary liver cancer surgery. Incision in the abdomen of patient being operated on for secondary liver cancer. A clip (top) is holding the falciform ligament, which attaches the liver (centre left) to the abdominal wall. At centre right a sling has been placed around hepatic artery and portal vein. The cancer has spread from a primary carcinoma of the colon. The malignant (cancerous) tumours will be located and affected areas of the liver removed.
