Gallbladder removal surgery. Laparoscopic view down the trochar to the abdomen during a cholecystectomy (gallbladder removal surgery). This view is prior to gas being blown into the abdominal cavity to create room for the surgeon to work in. This is keyhole, or minimally invasive, surgery and is directed using a laparascope, a type of endoscope that is inserted through a small incision into the patient's abdomen.
