Gland tissue. Fluorescence deconvolution micrograph of a section through glandular tissue. This tissue sample is from the submaxillary gland, one of the paired salivary glands that secrete saliva to aid in digestion. Cellular proteins are highlighted with fluorescent markers: g-actin (red), smooth muscle actin (green) and cell nuclei (blue).
