Kidney tissue. Fluorescence deconvolution micrograph of a section through kidney tissue. This is an example of a glomerulus (green), the filtering unit found in the kidney. Each of the human body's two kidneys contain hundreds of glomeruli that clean waste products from the blood. Cellular proteins are highlighted with fluorescent markers: g-actin (red), f-actin (green) and smooth muscle actin (blue).
