Lung cancer. Coloured frontal magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) scan of the chest of a patient with lung cancer. The malignant (cancerous) tumour (indicated by the arrow) is in the upper right lobe of the lung. The main cause of lung cancer is cigarette smoke. Symptoms include chest pain, shortness of breath and a cough. Treatment is with a combination of chemotherapy and radiotherapy.
