Velvet shank fungus (Flammulina velutipesi) mushrooms growing on a piece of wood. This edible mushroom is grown commercially as enoki mushrooms, thought the cultivated mushrooms are very difference in appearance, forming pale clusters with long, thin stalks. In the wild, this fungus grows on tree stumps. Photographed in the UK.
