Protective clothing used in dealing with insect infestations with a chemical insecticide. The hat with the veil and the white protective suit together with gauntlets help to prevent being stung by wasps etc. These insecticides are not available to the public but only to users who have undergone professional training in their application and proper use. Bendiocarb, an acutely toxic carbamate insecticide, is commonly used in wasp nest control. It is in the World Health Organization (WHO) class II for acute toxicity indicating that it is moderately hazardous to humans if ingested or absorbed through the skin. It also has adverse ecological effects, similar to the organophosphates, and can kill birds at low doses. Its use is banned in the US and is under consideration in the EU.
