Papua New Guinean bone knife. This composite image shows the knife seen from both sides. This is a traditional bone knife of unknown age, obtained from the Sepik Highlands of Papua New Guinea. It is made from the tibiotarsus (a leg bone) of a large flightless bird called a cassowary.
