Crabeater seal (Lobodon carcinophagus) lying on an ice floe. This seal has unusual multi-lobed teeth that enables it to sieve krill (a shrimp-like invertebrate) from the water. It lives and reproduces in the pack ice zone around Antarctica. Photographed in Wilhelmina Bay, on the Antarctic Peninsula.
