Chinstrap penguin (Pygoscelis antarctica) and chicks. This penguin lays a clutch of two eggs, hatching chicks of nearly equal size that both survive. The chicks are fed on food that is regurgitated by their parents, and become independent at about 60-70 days old. Photographed late in the Antarctic summer, on Half Moon Island, off the Antarctic Peninsula.
