Engraved plate depicting Rosicrucians from the publication 'Vitus del capo de la bona speranza', published in 1677. Rosicrucianism is a philosophical secret society, said to have been founded in late medieval Germany by Christian Rosenkreuz. It is symbolised by the Rosy Cross, seen here at centre.
