Pyromorphite on iron-stained quartz. Pyromorphite (lead phosphate chloride) is a minor ore of lead, which occurs in the oxidised zones of lead deposits. The name pyromorphite is derived from the Greek words meaning fire and form. Specimen from Wheal Alfred, Phillack, Cornwall, UK.
