Prehistoric cave painting. Artwork of an example of Levantine Art, a term that refers to cave paintings (rock art) found in the eastern (Mediterranean) part of the Iberian Peninsula. The cave paintings date to between 8000 and 3500 BC, and include human figures and animals. The rock art of this area was declared a UNESCO World Heritage site in 1998.
