Antarctic research station. Researcher taking an ozone reading using a Dobson ozone spectrophotometer housed in the Simpson Building (Ice and Climate Building, ICB) at the Halley research station, Antarctica. The Dobson spectrophotometer, is the earliest instrument used to measure atmospheric ozone, and the one that was used to discover the ozone hole.
