Caption

Saturn-Moon observations. Saturn as it emerged from behind the dark limb of the Moon on 16 June 1762. These observations were part of the paper 'Certain Reasons for a Lunar Atmosphere' by the British amateur astronomer Samuel Dunn (died 1794). The paper appeared in volume 52 (1761-2) of the journal 'Philosophical Transactions', published by the Royal Society of London.
