PROBA-2 satellite. Computer artwork of the European Space Agency's (ESA's) PROBA-2 (PRoject for OnBoard Autonomy-2) as it looks towards the Sun. The two complete DSLP (Dual Segmented Langmuir Probe) antennas (left) can be seen on the back of the solar panels, as well as the back solar array (centre). PROBA-2 is the second satellite in the European Space Agency's series of PROBA low-cost satellites that are being used to test new spacecraft technologies, whilst also carrying scientific instruments. Altogether, 17 new technological developments and four scientific experiments are being flown on PROBA-2.
