Caption

Endoscopic view down the oesophagus in a patient showing Barrett's oesophagus in which the epithelial lining changes, called metaplasia, due to chronic acid reflux from the stomach. This reflux is due to a hiatus hernia (lower centre) in which the stomach pushes up into the oesophagus.
