This is the historic caravansary of Bahram Palace in Kavir National Park, Iran. The 1550-year-old palace is believed to have been built at the time of Bahram Gur, a Sassanid king of the Persian Empire. It served as his summer hunting mansion, later becoming a caravansary (roadside inn).
