Common dolphins. Young common dolphin (Delphinus delphis) alongside an adult, showing the foetal folds (light lines) very clearly. These dolphins are found throughout the world in temperate and warm seas. They usually live in groups (or pods) of up to 100 individuals, but much larger groups are known to exist. They feed almost exclusively on fish, and may live for over 30 years. Photographed off the Azores, North Atlantic Ocean.
