Bridled guillemot on a rock. This bird is a colour variant of the common guillemot (Uria aalge) that has a band of white around its eyes with a streak leading from it. It inhabits islands, cliffs and rocky shores in the north Pacific and north Atlantic Oceans. The common guillemot can grow up to 45 centimetres in length. Photographed in the Farne Islands, Northumberland, UK.
