Little egret (Ardea alba) fishing. This small white heron is originally native to warmer parts of Europe and Asia, Africa and Australia. It was rare in Britain until the late 20th century, but is now commonly sighted in coastal areas. It eats crustaceans, fish and insects that it catches in shallow water. Photographed in Kent, UK.
