Pseudodoxia Epidemica. Title page of Thomas Browne's 'Pseudodoxia Epidemica or Enquires into very many received tenets and commonly presumed truths' (1646), which refuted common misconceptions and errors of the time. The book was very popular, with five further editions being printed, and paved the way for popular science journalism.
