Timelapse of the night sky from 5,100 meters above sea level in the Andes mountains, Chile. The two bright objects at bottom left at the beginning of the clip are the planets Venus and Mercury. The Moon is in the constellation Sagittarius and is seen against the band of stars and dust that is our galaxy, the Milky Way, seen from the inside. The peak at right is the Licancabur volcano. The lights at left are from the town of San Pedro de Atacama.
