Caption

Tube anemone tentacles lit with red strobe light. Tube, or cylinder, anemones (order Ceriantharia) are anthozoans that look very similar to sea anemones, but belong to a different subclass. They inhabit soft sediments in tubes made of secreted mucous, which they live in and can withdraw into for protection. Photographed off Manado, North Sulawesi, Indonesia.
