Caption

Color-enhanced X-ray of the hand showing a boxer's fracture, the common name for a fracture at the neck of any of the metacarpals (the bones which form the knuckles of the hand). A boxer's fracture occurs most commonly the fifth metacarpal, as seen here. As the name implies, it is usually caused by punching a hard object.
