Gastric antral vascular ectasia or watermelon is associated with painless upper gastrointestinal bleeding. It is treated with laser and cauterization. Sometimes removal of the distal stomach is necessary. It is not associated with cancer. It usually occurs in the distal (antrum) stomach.
