Ophthalmologist Filatov and colleague. Soviet ophthalmologist and surgeon Vladimir Petrovich Filatov (1875-1956, left) looking with a colleague at the film 'They See Again'. Filatov is best known for his development of tissue therapy. He introduced the tube flap grafting method, corneal transplantation and preservation of grafts from cadaver eyes. He founded The Filatov Institute of Eye Diseases and Tissue Therapy in Odessa, Ukraine. Photographed in 1951, in Odessa, Ukraine.
