Steaming hot water from hot springs cascading into the Firehole River, Yellowstone National Park, Wyoming, USA. This area is geothermally active due to a huge magma chamber underlying the park. The flow of hot water into the river raises its temperature from 5-10 degrees Celsius upstream of the region to some 30 degrees downstream of it.
