It consists of around a dozen specimens of Grandidier's baobab (Adansonia grandidieri). This species, classified as endangered, is endemic to western Madagascar. It can grow to over 25 metres. These specimens, hundreds of years old, are around 30 metres tall. They were once surrounded by forest which has since been cleared. Photographed in 2011.
