Gray bamboo lemur (Hapalemur griseus) in a tree. All lemurs are endemic to Madagascar, where they evolved in isolation from other primates after Madagascar became geographically isolated from Africa. This one is also known as the eastern lesser bamboo lemur. It feeds mostly on bamboo. Photographed at Vakona Lodge, in the Perinet Reserve, Madagascar.
