The Korean Peninsula is flanked by the Sea of Japan (blue, right), Yellow Sea (blue, left) and East China Sea (blue, bottom left), while the Korea Strait (blue, lower centre) separates South Korea from Japan (lower right). Image compiled from data acquired by the LANDSAT 5 and 7 satellites, in 2000.
