A computer-interfaced sensor measuring the pH of vinegar, showing it to be 1.2, or acidic. Acids are substances that release hydrogen ions when in an aqueous solution. They can be extremely caustic. Vinegar contains acetic acid produced by the fermentation of ethanol.
