ESA astronauts training in free-fall conditions aboard a Zero-G Airbus 300 aeroplane. This aircraft is flown to high altitudes (around 7000 metres) and placed in a parabolic trajectory that produces 20 seconds of free-fall conditions. At left is Samantha Cristoforetti, the first female Italian astronuat.
