The rings of Neptune consist primarily of five principal rings, predicted in 1984 by Andre Brahic and imaged in 1989 by the Voyager 2 spacecraft. Brahic has also worked on supernova, chaos theory, and the dynamics of galaxies, and is one of the world's specialists in the study of the solar system.
