Wasp nest material in detail. Scanning electron micrograph of masticated pieces of wood from a common wasp's nest (Vespula vulgaris). The nest is made from chewed wood or cellulose fibres mixed with saliva and these fibres can easily be seen in this micrograph. Magnification x714 or x178 at 10cm wide.
