Timelapse footage of the planet Mars rising over the mountain Ama Dablam, in the Nepalese Himalayas. The open cluster Praesepe (M44) is seen at upper right in the first part of the clip. As Mars rises, the moon sets in the opposite part of the sky, plunging the mountain into darkness. Ama Dablam has a peak at 6812 metres above sea level. Filmed in November 2009.
