Christmas tree worms (Spirobranchus giganteus, colourful) on a coral reef. These polychaete marine worms are found in tropical regions throughout the world, where they live in tubes attached to coral or rock. They feed by extending long radioles (tentacles) into the water to trap passing food particles. At the slightest hint of danger they withdraw rapidly into the tube.
