Liposarcoma removed from the buttock of a patient. This malignant tumor usually arises in fat cells in deep soft tissue. It is the most common soft tissue cancer in adults, mostly affecting those over 50 years of age. Treatment is with surgical removal of the tumor, often combined with radiation therapy and chemotherapy.
