Russian ultralight. An Aviatika MAI-890 ultralight aircraft seen just before landing. The MAI-890 is a biplane aircraft with a single-seat, 'pod and boom' fuselage construction. Powered by a single 73kW (98hp) piston engine, the MAI-890 can fly at up to 110 km/h with an endurance of almost three hours. It is used mainly for recreational flying and for small-area agriultural crop dusting. The first flight of the MAI-890 was in July 1987 and over 300 were sold.
