Antarctic fur seal giving birth. Antarctic fur seals (Arctocephalus gazella) range throughout the Southern Ocean that surrounds Antarctica. The females and juveniles have a grey pelt with a lighter underside and are much smaller than the males, which can weight up to around 120 kg. Photographed in Salisbury Plain, South Georgia, Antarctica.
