Caption

Potash mine. Workers next to a drift conveyor in a potash mine. This is the means of transporting mined rocks from the work face. Potash consists of potassium salts, mainly chloride, that are sequentially deposited in inland marine environments along with common salt. This gives rise to the characteristic banded appearance of the rocks. Photographed in Belarus.
