Pneumatosis intestinalis. Endoscopic view of gas-filled cysts (cystic pneumatosis) in the wall of a patient's colon (large intestine). This is a highly suggestive indication of the presence of necrotising enterocolitis - a medical condition primarily seen in premature infants, where portions of the bowel undergo necrosis (tissue death).
