Caption

Benign bone tumours. Coloured 3D computed tomography (CT) scan of the pelvis of a 40-year-old man with two osteoid osteoma bone tumours: one on the right trochanter (lower left) - where the femur connects to the hip bone; and the second on the left ischium (bottom centre) - the lower and back part of the hip bone. Osteoid osteomas are benign (non-cancerous) tumours arising from osteoblast bone cells.
